Randolph was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree injury to a child causing serious bodily injury in Weathorford, Texas. Randolph claimed she broke a window in an effort to get to the children, later identified by Tarrant county medical examiner's office as Juliet and Cavanaugh Ramirez. Randolph told investigators that she then went back into her home, smoked marijuana and slept for two to three hours.

But when she was arrested Friday, police said Randolph admitted to officers that she locked the children inside the vehicle on objective. She said she thought her daughter would be able to open the auto door and get out whenever she and her brother wanted to leave the vehicle.
