Cherokee County Electric Crews Travel To Florida To Aid In Hurricane Relief

Officials with Indiana Electric Cooperatives say the workers will leave the state Tuesday.

Some 33,888 households and businesses were reported without power in SC by mid-morning Monday as Hurricane Irma passed to the west of the state.

The crews will work to restore power to homes and businesses that were knocked out during Hurricane Irma. "We are proud of our crew who volunteered to restore power at Excelsior EMC as well as all of our linemen who keep NNEC's members' lights on". "Additional BWEMC crews will swapped out later if needed".
