Nationals agree to three-year deal to make Martinez their next manager

The Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs bench coach Dave Martinez agreed to a three-year contract to make him the club's next manager, though a deal will not be announced until after the World Series.

Martinez becomes the seventh full-time manager for the Nats since they moved from Montreal before the 2005 season.

Ross is only 40 years old and can pretty much write his own job description, whether it's eventually taking the leap as a big-league manager, focusing on broadcasting or pursuing more crossover opportunities in the sports/entertainment worlds.

Black Caps v India, third and final ODI
After half-centuries from Colin Munro and Kane Williamson , India have taken a couple of wickets to slow the visitors down. The partnership between Kohli and Rohit helped India to score 337 runs against New Zealand .

An apprenticeship under Joe Maddon is a legitimate strength on a managerial resumé, and there's no particular reason this won't work. Martinez will be the Nationals' second rookie manager in five seasons, as Matt Williams won the National League Manager of the Year Award and took the Nationals to the playoffs in 2014.

Martinez gives the Nationals a different look - a fresher face than Baker or Davey Johnson, but a more relaxed leader than Williams.

Jorge Castillo and Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reported Sunday the contract will have a fourth-year option.

Shin Megami Tensei V is confirmed for the Nintendo Switch
It certainly fits in with the legacy-the series began on the Famicom, and the last three games have been exclusive to the 3DS. There was no release date confirmed for it yet aside from the listed platform being Nintendo Switch .

In giving the Martinez, 53, a three-year contract, Nationals ownership broke with longstanding (and controversial) form. A formal announcement isn't likely to come until Monday at the earliest, possibly not until after the World Series ends.

Martinez has served as bench coach for Joe Maddon since 2008, with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Cubs. The Nationals selected Bud Black to replace him but negotiations crumbled and Baker was given the job.
