In a touching post about his Star Wars co-star, Mark Hamil shared a group of photos featuring himself and Fisher, topped off with the caption "No one's ever really gone...#AlwaysWithUs #CarrieOnForever".
He accompanied it with a amusing artwork of a sketch showing Fisher, who passed away suddenly past year, in robes and a crown, carrying her famous french bulldog, Gary Fisher, in one hand as she stuck up the middle finger of the other.
The loss of Fisher immediately presented a quandary for Disney and Lucasfilm, who had Fisher cast in all three films in the new Star Wars trilogy.

Despite both tragedies, family and friends came together over the holidays to celebrate both Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds memories. And make no mistake, as Mark Hamill has alluded to in previous interviews, that brother-sister bond very much continued off-screen, and his long-time appreciation of the actress will never fade. Hamill took to Twitter the day after Christmas to back up Johnson's vision of Star Wars and to say that he regrets voicing his creative differences.
