In an article posted on Babe, the anonymous girl, who goes by "Grace", claimed that throughout their date, the 34-year-old comedian had exhibited sexually inappropriate behavior and that he had ignored her non-verbal cues and continuing on with his advances. She said that Ansari then resumed kissing her, briefly performed oral sex on her, and asked her to do the same thing to him.
On Monday night, Banfield pulled no punches in calling the woman's allegations "reckless and hollow". What if he's guilty of being a total cad who is a really bad date?
"Your date got overly amorous". After protesting his moves, you did not get up and leave right away, you continued to engage in the sexual encounter.
Banfield also questioned why the woman did not inform the police of the matter as "it did not affect your workplace or your ability to get a job".
'And I will laugh the day you fold. To me this reads to me like a really, really bad date. Is that what victimized you to the point of seeking a public conviction?

"What you have done in my opinion is appalling". "You went to the press with a story of a bad date and you have potentially destroyed this man's career over it, right after he received an award for which he was worthy". The feminist writer Jill Filipovic, in a column for The Guardian, said the piece touched on the need for more stories about "how pervasive power imbalances benefit men and make sex worse for women". Yet, you looked that gift horse in the mouth and chiseled away at that powerful movement with your public accusation.
As previously reported, Babe.net published the lengthy story on Sunday, January 14, where the photographer, under the pseudonym "Grace", described an evening with Ansari. The caliber of this 22-year-old young women ... Nor is it uncommon to hear people worry, as Flanagan does, that young people are changing the definition of sex and consent, in a way that will eventually outlaw or at least stigmatize numerous interactions we now take for granted. According to Grace, Ansari treated her abominably: He took her to dinner, gave her white wine instead of red, pushed her to come to his apartment and then engaged in a vigorous round of sexual activities to which she apparently consented. The woman told Ansari the encounter had made her uncomfortable; he texted back with an apology. He insists that the encounter "by all indications was completely consensual" and that "everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned". The fact that so many women can dismiss what happened to her as "dating in your 20s" terrifies me as a woman in my 20s. This reckoning was long overdue, and hard won.
Men: we women know these are uncomfortable times for you.
The woman's claims did not involve force or violence.
Alessandra Mastronardi and Aziz Ansari in "Master of None", the series in which Ansari's character realizes that a woman's walk through the world is different from and more risky than a man's. Following the encounter, Ansari arranged for an Uber to pick her up, she said.
In an interview with CNN's Brian Stelter, Joshi Herrmann, editor in chief of Babe's parent company, Tab Media, defended the publication of the story by Ansari's accuser. Just because Ansari has convened focus groups with men and women about what it's like to date in the Tinder era - and has written a book called "Modern Romance" - doesn't mean he'll be respectful or empathic in his own dating life.

Did she ever just say "no"?
"I know I was physically giving off cues that I wasn't interested", the woman told way.
"Ashleigh, someone I am certain nobody under the age of 45 has heard of", Way wrote, which Banfield read on air. In a statement, Ansari did not deny any of her specific claims, but he didn't validate Grace's experience, either. I'm glad she spoke up. "This was not what I expected".
After she left his apartment, Grace said she began crying and sent Ansari a text message explaining her discomfort: "It may have seemed okay. Is that what you truly think he deserved for your night out?"
The woman responded: "Last night might've been fun for you, but it wasn't for me".
