'Glee' star Mark Salling reportedly found dead

The body of former "Glee" actor Mark Wayne Salling, who was awaiting sentencing for possession of child pornography, was found Tuesday near the Los Angeles River in the Tujunga area.

The 35-year-old actor had pleaded guilty in October to a charge of possessing child pornography, admitting to downloading 50,000 images onto his computer.

Salling played Noah "Puck" Puckerman on Fox musical drama Glee, which aired from 2009 to 2015. "Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment", Proctor said, asking that the public respect Mark's family's privacy at this time.

He is survived by his mother, father and brother.

Subsequently, he was charged with two counts of receiving and possessing images of child sexual abuse in May past year but in October he entered into the plea deal with California's district attorney.
