Outrage as Buhari appoints Dead men to fill board positions

In a statement signed by its deputy director, Timothy Adewale, SERAP said appointing at least eight dead people as board members would seem to suggest that the 1,467 appointments approved by the president were unscreened for competence and merit.
Okpozo died on December 26, 2016, with Buhari issuing a statement of commiseration on December 27, 2017.
Dr. Nabbs Imegwu, a former commissioner in Rivers State who died earlier this year, was appointed to the board of the National Orthopedic Hospitals while Comrade Ahmed Bunza from Kebbi State, an appointee to the Rubber Research Institute in Benin, had passed on in May 2017.
He was appointed as a board member of the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta.
