Police are searching for a woman and her boyfriend in connection with the death of a 4-year-old MI girl who was found with severe burns, WDIV reported.
Wayne County prosecutors have charged Candice Diaz, 24, the little girl's mother, and Brad Edward Fields, 28, with the preschooler's stomach-turning murder.
On the morning of New Year's Day, police responded to a report of an unresponsive girl at a home in the Rawsonville Woods Mobile Home Community in Sumpter Township, Mich., about 30 miles southwest of Detroit.
Police said that the home where the girl was found with serious scald wounds was full of animal waste and contained guns and drugs.

The girl, identified as Gabby Barrett by Detroit Fox affiliate WJBK, was taken to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, where she was pronounced dead.
The death was ruled a homicide two days later by the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner, according to police, with evidence of multiple traumatic injuries indicating child abuse.
Police records also paint a chaotic scene at the couple's home where Fields was accused of assaulting Diaz, shooting her dog and then shooting himself.
He said the warrants are for charges that include murder, second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse and torture.

"She was an overall wonderful kid".
