Forecast: ice, then snow

Monday night: Light wintry mix or freezing drizzle increasing to light freezing rain late. The metro could see up to three-tenths of an inch of ice. The ice will result in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges, including during Tuesday's morning commute.
The National Weather Service says freezing rain, sleet and snow are expected over much of central, northeast and east-central Wisconsin on Monday and continuing on Tuesday.

A spokesman said: "A very cold westerly airstream will bring frequent snow showers to many western and central areas on Sunday ". It will clear overnight with wintry showers following and with frost and ice developing.
