Feinstein Fails to Receive Party's Endorsement at California Democratic Party Convention

Sen. Dianne Feinstein is seeking a sixth term representing California but she's now in the race without the support of the state's Democratic Party, which declined to endorse her re-election bid over the weekend.
The backing of 60 percent of the delegates was needed to secure the party's official endorsement. On his radio show, Savage said "Some very important people have come to me and said 'Savage, would you like to run as an independent for the U.S. Senate in the state of California against the esteemed Dianne Feinstein?' Kamala Harris and U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, urged unity ahead of the midterm elections", writes ABC News.
Democratic activists were more eager to back de Leon, who is touting himself as a fresh face with stronger progressive credentials, particularly on immigration. "Both of them have long histories of service to the state, to the country and to the party".
