Kobe Bryant Wins Oscar Award For His Animated Short Film 'Dear Basketball'

After his success for "Dear Basketball", there may be more awards to come in the future for the NBA great.
The baller won for producing the Best Animated Short Film Dear Basketball and while he and his co-producer Glen Keane were in the Oscars press room following the win. He applauded players still in the game for making drastic steps in upping the sport.
An hour later, Bryant elaborated backstage and said, "I think for us, not just as athletes, but as people in general, we have the ability to what it is that we believe in".

Bryant's retort was a reference to a controversial statement from Fox News journalist Laura Ingraham who in February sought to chastise Cleveland Cavaliers baller LeBron James for his political commentary.

The municipal statement said the explosion happened when passengers were getting off the boat, and the cause was not yet known. Video taken after the blast and posted online showed at least two ambulances on the dock attending to some of the injured.
