More snow falls as 'mini beast from the east' sweeps in

Temperatures could feel as low as -10C in some areas after the cold snap dubbed the "mini beast from the east" sweeps in from Siberia.
Met Office meteorologist Mark Wilson said: "The best way to describe this is as a real return to wintry conditions".
Charlotte Armitage, citizen science officer for the Woodland Trust, told the Metro: 'When we get prolonged mild periods as we have done recently, plants and wildlife are fooled into thinking the seasons are changing and start to become more active.
"Southern and eastern regions look most vulnerable overnight and early on Sunday and then south-western areas of England and south Wales into the daytime".
