Not again! Snow warning for Lincoln on Easter Monday

Easter Monday could see heavy snow dumped over England, Wales and southern Scotland - again affecting travel as people return home from their breaks.

This says there is a "possibility of heavy snow" which could affect travel - with a chance some rural communities could become cut off.

A Met Office statement said: "As a weather system moves in from the south and comes up against cold air over the United Kingdom, there is the chance that rain could turn to heavy snow in places".

Up to 20cm of snow fell, especially on higher ground, and there was significant drifting caused by the strong easterly wind.

The Easter weekend looks mainly dry at this time with near normal temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
