One police officer was killed during a shooting with a suspect barricaded in a home in Clinton, Missouri.
During the call, which came in around 10:20 p.m. ET Tuesday, two women could be heard screaming in the background at the home in Clinton, said Sgt. Bill Lowe of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Clinton is about 70 miles (110 kilometers) east of Kansas City.

The rewards program also drew ire in more public social-media forms, with some taking to Twitter to question the logic behind it. A United spokesperson did not say how many people complained about the change, but it was a "significant enough number".
The two wounded officers are being treated at a local hospital. One suffered "moderate" injuries while the other suffered minor injuries, according to a spokesperson for the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Officers found James E. Waters, 37, of Clinton, dead inside a home in Clinton Wednesday morning.

President Petro Poroshenko has stated that Ukraine has sufficient natural gas reserves in its underground storage facilities. The arbitrators ground their decision by the fact that the situation with the Ukrainian economy has drastically worsened.
The shooter barricaded himself in the home, leading to a almost two-hour standoff, Lowe said.
For the second time in under a year, the town of Clinton is mourning the loss of a police officer.
