He's not bench-pressing even though he grabbed his biceps, smiled and assured, "I've been working out, 216 (pounds), you know?"
There isn't anything someone could say about a Bo Jackson athletic feat that I wouldn't believe at the drop of a hat. However, Jackson rather quickly denied that report and any buzz about a position change.
Jackson was extremely likeable in his 15-minute interview with reporters.
"No team has asked me to play wide receiver", the former UofL quarterback said. I thought I did!
Republican leaders continue fight against new congressional map
The next census will occur in 2020, requiring maps to be drawn for the 2022 congressional and state legislative elections. Supreme Court to overturn the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's ruling on the old map last month, but Justice Samuel A.
Whether that situation will be in Denver remains to be seen, but Jackson promised Friday a "different" and "leveled-up Lamar" for any team that chooses to draft him.
The really interesting part is Jackson said no teams have even asked if he would work out as a receiver. "I thought I did a good job at quarterback!" "That's strictly my position".
Interestingly, Jackson doesn't have a traditional agent. He has a lawyer who will help, and his mother will serve as his manager. He also said he wouldn't feel pressure trying to succeed a quarterback like Brady because he thrives under pressure.
When asked which teams he met with, the Buffalo Bills were the first team he mentioned. Why would Lamar Jackson care about the feelings of an organization so backwards it would get upset by something like this? It would be great, I love the feeling down there; I love the sunshine. I can lead my team, and I feel like the field general when I'm out there. I love to put the ball in receivers' hands. "It may look like it, but I'm not". "I've got to show it".
Jonathan Stewart: Parts ways with Carolina
Stewart has spent his entire 10-year National Football League career with the Panthers, who drafted him 13 overall in 2008. He made his only Pro Bowl in 2015 after rushing for 989 yards and six scores on 242 carries.
In his three years at Louisville, Jackson caught a grand total of zero passes for zero yards. He will not run the 40-yard dash Saturday with the other quarterbacks, but he will throw.
"No sir. I'm a quarterback", the 21-year-old said, flashing a full set of braces to go along with his affable disposition. "You gonna get the salary you're going to get". He won the Heisman doing that. He's well aware that his passing accuracy, impacted by footwork, is "why they're doubting me right now".
During his meeting with the Bills, Jackson probably had to watch plenty of film and draw up some plays. Jackson did both on Friday.
"I love putting a chip on my shoulder. They can say what they want to say, build a story". "I'd rather not have him switch positions", Elway said.
