Filming on this new Ant & Dec show has been SUSPENDED

A source at ITV has responded to reports that an ancestry documentary fronted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly has been axed, because it contains scenes of the pair drinking.

Ant will miss the remaining two shows, but will appear only in a pre-recorded video in the final two instalments of a whodunnit sketch that's been running through the series.

He's spoken with Dec and ITV and asked for time off for the foreseeable future.

Ant was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving last week.

It's been a manic week for Dec, as the TV presenter has confirmed that his wife Ali is expecting their first child.

"We will be reviewing options for the last two episodes of the series which would not feature Ant who is taking time off to seek treatment. Everyone at ITV and the Takeaway team feels we owe it to the audience to complete the series".

The new footage shows each of the judges as a king or queen - Simon appears to be something out of Game Of Thrones with his "I'll feed you to the dogs if you don't amuse me" stare, Amanda Holden stars as Elizabeth 1st, and Alesha Dixon as Queen Victoria. Following the news, fans rushed to congratulate the happy couple.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Dec posted a black and white photo from his 2015 wedding to Ali, and wrote, "Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages". "Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it. D x (sic)".
