Larry Harvey's Cause Of Death: Burning Man Founder Dies At 70

His cause of death has not yet been determined, but Harvey had been hospitalized since April 4 after suffering a massive stroke.

On Saturday, April 28, at his home in San Francisco at the age of 70 years has died the founder of the American festival of music and art Burning Man Larry Harvey, reported on the official website of the festival.

While tickets now sell out immediately, Harvey described in a 2007 interview how he had much more modest intentions when he launched Burning Man on San Francisco's Baker Beach one summer day in 1986. "We resolutely held out for a miracle", said Goodell. He didn't fit a mold; he broke it with the way he lived his life. The world has lost a great leader and an inspiring mind.

A tribute to Harvey was also posted on Burning Man's Instagram.
