Faced with back to back drought for the last three years, most farmers in BJP's chief ministerial candidate Yeddyurappa's constituency, have shifted from paddy to jowar that can be grown in less water and in shorter duration. In a tweet that echoes those of Congress incumbent Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's tirade against Modi, Gandhi released a "primer on BJP's candidate selection". He claimed the Congress is anxious over the imminent defeat in Karnataka Assembly elections.
The Chief Minister went on to call G Janardhana Reddy the prime minister's "friend".
He accused the Congress of "auctioning" party tickets and posts, and recalled how a string of scams rocked the erstwhile UPA government.
